Attempted murder charge dropped in bikie shooting case

A SUNSHINE Coast bikie who broke into a man's home and shot him has had his attempted murder charge dropped.

Leslie David Gadd appeared in the Supreme Court this morning for a string of violent offences relating to the Little Mountain home invasion.

Gadd broke into the Jason Enrique Gravestein's home on April 9, 2011, and shot him in the leg.

Originally set down for a trial, Gadd changed his tune on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to four robbery and assault offences including burglary with violence while armed and in company of another person.

As a result, Crown Prosecutor Philip McCarthy confirmed Gadd's attempted murder charge would not proceed.

Mr McCarthy asked that Gadd be remanded in custody until his sentence next Wednesday.

The matter was adjourned.

Gadd has alleged ties to the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Club on the Sunshine Coast.
