Woman in court after asking: "Is there any beer?"

A DISAGREEMENT over a stinky fridge led to a Rosewood woman hurting her friend when she tackled her to the ground.

Kirsty Elizabeth Watson, 38, visited a friend's share house on June 4, 2011, when the simple question of "Is there any beer?", kicked off an altercation.

Ipswich District Court heard Watson went to the fridge and commented on its unclean state.

The victim, 50, took offence to the comment and told Watson to "mind her own business".

Watson suddenly shoved the victim, who she had known for 12 months, to the ground and came down on top of her.

The victim suffered minor bruising to her cheek, neck and arm.

The court heard Watson had consumed six Crown Lager beers before the incident occurred at 4.30pm.

Watson was fined $500 and placed on a two-year good behaviour bond.
