Baby girl suffering a serious airway infection airlifted
THE RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter was tasked to Kingaroy Hospital this afternoon to airlift a 16-month-old baby girl suffering a serious airway infection.
CareFlight Paramedic Jaye Newton said the little girl had been in hospital for several days before her health deteriorated.
"We intubated and ventilated the patient before airlifting her to the Royal Children's Hospital," he said.
"We had a pediatric team from the Royal Children's Hospital on board at the time of airlifting. The girl was transferred in a serious but stable condition."
