Australians survive Burma plane crash

FIVE Australians have survived a deadly plane crash in Burma.

They were among 11 people who were injured when the plane crashed and burst into flames in a rice paddy near the Heho airport on Christmas Day.

A woman from Adelaide and her boyfriend were passengers and suffered minor injuries, ABC reports.

Details about the other Australians were not immediately available.

Burmese officials said two people died, including a motorcyclist who was struck by the plane.
