$400 fine for 15 bullets found in bedside table

A WOMAN found with 15 bullets in her bedside table told a court they weren't hers and she didn't know how they got there.

Hayley Maree Rowe, 23, pleaded guilty at the Ipswich Magistrates Court to unlawfully possessing explosives.

The court heard on June 10 police searched the Gailes property Rowe was living at.

She told police and the court she knew the bullets were in the bedside table but they did not belong to her.

She was fined $400 and the bullets were forfeited to police for destruction.
