14-year-old girl arrested after alleged robbery
TWO teenagers were arrested after allegedly robbing a man and stealing his car at Riverlink shopping centre last night.
It is alleged a 26-year-old man was assaulted and robbed after entering an elevator at the shopping centre at around 7.10pm last night.
Police said the two males followed him into the elevator and one man assaulted him before stealing car keys from his pocket.
It is further alleged the males have fled the car park in the victim's vehicle.
The vehicle was later found crashed into a pole on Railway Terrace at Goodna around 9pm.
Police arrested 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old man following investigations into the robbery.
The 14-year-old local girl was charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
The 17-year-old Raceview man was charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle and robbery with violence.
He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
