Centenary Memorial Gardens can be found nestled amid the bushland and hills in the western suburbs 15km from the centre of Brisbane. Surrounded by parkland and bushland reserve, the 40 acre site is a peaceful respite from the everyday rush of the city. 100% Australian owned, Centenary Memorial Gardens is committed to providing personal and sensitive service to you, your family and friends as we honour the memory of those who have died.
Established in 2001 by three Queensland families long associated with funeral care, the cemetery and crematoria is located at 353 Wacol Station Road, Sumner. With four generations and over 320 years of combined experience, the founders brought a unique perspective to how a cemetery should be laid out. Long rows of monuments were a sight of the past. Now there are individual gardens, water features and most importantly, an emphasis on open park land spaces. Centenary Memorial Gardens is the first cemetery to be established in the western suburbs of Brisbane since the historic Toowong Cemetery 230 years earlier and is the only crematorium.
